Trisha Krishnan born as Trisha Krishnamurthy on May 4th, 1983 in Palakkad town of Kerala State is a well-known South Indian actress and a celebrated model.Born of Tamil parents, Krishnan and Uma Krishnan, Trisha had her schooling at Church Park School where former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha pursued her school education. A graduate from Ethiraj College in Chennai, Trisha participated in several beauty pageants winning Miss Salem and Miss Chennai in 1999 and Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile in 2001.With beauty pageant titles to her credit, Trisha bagged number of modeling assignments from established brands like Pepsi, Fair & Lovely, Philips Power Vision, Brooke Bond Red Label Tea, Josco Jewellery, Vimal, Arun Ice Cream, Medimix soap, Butterfly, Junior Horlicks, Britannia cold coffee, Cavincare Meera Gold, Neem Toothpaste, Hercules cycle, and Goya Perfume from Colombo. A trained ballet dancer, Trisha appeared in Phalguni Pathak's video album, "Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaya".Trisha began her movie career with "Leysa Leysa" {2002} directed by Priyadarshan and appeared that year in two more movies "Manasellam" and "Mounam Pesiyadhe". Starring opposite Surya in "Mounam Pesiyadhe" Trisha won all-round applause for her brilliant performance in the movie and also won Filmfare Best Female Debut {Tamil}. The beautiful actress further gave an outstanding performance in "Saamy" {2003} opposite leading Tamil hero Vikram and "Ghilli" {2004}, a remake of Telugu super hit movie "Okkadu".After a string of successes in Tamil, Trisha moved to Telugu films and made her debut with "Varsham" {2004} starring opposite Prabhas. Her zestful performance in the movie, especially in a rain-dance song sequence 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana...' was a wild hit with the audience and she became an instant celebrity, while the movie went on to become a blockbuster hit. In the end, she received two Best Actress Awards from Filmfare and Santhosham, a colorful Telugu cine magazine.Refining her acting talents further, she rendered a sterling performance in "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" {2005} directed by actor-turned Prabhu Deva and went on to win two more Best Actress Awards from Filmfare and Government of Andhra Pradesh initiated Nandi Award. Even for "Athadu" {2005}, the beautiful actress earned Filmfare nomination in the category of Best Actress. In a family entertainer "Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule" {2007}, Trisha starring opposite Venkatesh gave an excellent performance endearing herself to the women audience. The versatile actress has even tried comedy in "Kireedam" {2007} and successfully sent the audience home reeling with laughter.Trisha, the beautiful actress has acted along side the top names in South Indian films like Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Surya, Vikram, Vijay, Prabhas, Madhavan, Mahesh Babu, Srikanth, Siddharth, Jayam Ravi, Shaam and Silambarasan.
